About the artist
“My passion for drawing started back in kindergarten. When I was about six, my parents enrolled me in an art studio. I vividly remember drawing on thick A2 paper—for some reason, that detail really stuck with me. After finishing there, my father took me to the Poltava School of Arts. They offered many subjects, like dance and music theory, but I only attended drawing, sculpting, and art history classes. My friend Misha and I went there for eight years until we finally graduated. Since then, I’ve mostly doodled in notebooks and sketchpads. These skills turned out to be very useful in my career, as I work closely with designers and engineers. Now, many years later—at the age of 39, to be precise—I’ve picked up a brush again, and now I paint every day.”
